Naushad

One of the maestro's of Hindi Film music, Naushad was the first recipient of 'Filmfare Best Music Director Award' for his film Baiju Bawra. He was a master of using classical songs.

His first film as music director was Prem Nagar (1940).

Amazing facts :-

He was the first to use a 100-piece orchestra - Aan (1952).
He recorded an entire song without the use of orchestra - Uran Khatola (1955)
He used a chorus of 100 persons for Ae Mohabbat Zindabad - Mughal-e-Azam (1960)

Naushad is also one of the few music directors who have scored music for almost 15 movies of Dilip Kumar.

From today onwards, I will review Naushad's music as well as my favourites with you.
