Ravi's second Filmfare Best Music Director Award. The same year other nominees include Kalyanji Anandji for 'Himalay Ki God Mein' & Shankar Jaikishan for their super hit composition 'Arzoo'. Like many of my music loving friends, I also like 'tumhi mere mandir' by Lata.

  1. Condolences

It is a great shock to read the news of sad demise of Music Director Ravi.

The indian people is well aware of his great composition of music in various movies and even today they dance on the traditional tunes which carries a huge culture mixed with socialism.

I hereby convey my heart felt condolences on his demise due to ailment though I am very much aware and recollect when he was at Jabalpur with his troop two years back. After a great persuasion mixed with enthusiasm and zeal he sang before us:

Heeeeeeeeeey Neele Gagan ke Taley -

as was composed by him in Film Hamraz.

he is with us very much only the soul has left for heavenly peace.

    Vinamra Shridhhanjali - Ravi Sahab

    shekher iyer - Jabalpur railways.

Ravi can easily be credited for giving Mahendra Kapoor the best of his songs. Great composer and great human being as I have seen one or two of his interviews on television. Rest in Peace Ravi Jee.
